My Secret Ingredient for The BEST Strawberry Lemonade Ever!!
My secret to the most delicious strawberry lemonade is Grenadine. This versatile ingredient enhances flavor and provides a sweet touch, taking the strawberry lemonade to another level of deliciousness.
What is Grenadine?
Grenadine is a non-alcoholic syrup made from pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemon juice. It has a sweet-tart flavor and a deep red color. It is commonly used to boost sweetness and bright color in mocktails and cocktails.
The brighter the strawberries, the riper they are. Pick the reddest ones you can find for the sweetest strawberry lemonade. You’re going to want freshly squeezed lemon juice for the lemonade and not the bottled stuff. Bottled doesn’t taste as fresh and bright as fresh. Plus, that stuff usually comes with a bitter note, and will leave you with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. You can change things up by using sparkling water instead of regular water. Don’t have strawberries? Try this with blueberries or raspberries! If you want, you can replace honey with sugar, agave, stevia, or another natural sweetener. Add a splash of vodka to turn this into a strawberry lemonade cocktail! Just before serving, stir in sliced strawberries, lemon, and mint sprigs if desired. Pitcher: A large pitcher usually holds between 64 – 72 oz. This recipe makes 48 oz (6 cups), so to fill up your pitcher, you need to make 1.5x this recipe. Gallon Dispernser: If you want to fill 1 Gallon (128 oz) Glass Jar Beverage Dispensers (such as these) you need 16 cups, so you’ll need to make 3x this recipe.
