Easy Apple Cobbler

This easy apple cobbler makes me so incredibly happy. It’s the tastiest dessert for the best time of year – FALL. Making warm sweet desserts is the best when the weather gets a little crisp outside. And speaking of crisp, this apple cobbler is just that! That crunchy crispy topping compliments the soft golden apples perfectly. We’ve all decided it is the easiest and best apple cobbler recipe we’ve ever tried/ The spices in this cobbler give it that warm comforting feeling of the changing seasons. The flavor combination of cinnamon and apples is to die for, and we know you’ll love it!

How to Make Apple Cobbler

Another great thing about this cobbler is that it’s a cinch to make. It’s the perfect alternative to apple pie when you don’t have time to make a homemade pie crust. The crumble topping is so delicious you won’t even miss the pie crust. 😉 You’ll need about 7-8 large tart cooking apples. What kind of apples do you use for apple cobbler? We prefer Granny Smith but these other apples work great too!

Honeycrisp Golden Delicious Fuji Gala Cortland

Peel and slice them to 1/4 of an inch thick. This will make about 9 cups of sliced apples. Place the apples into an un-greased 9×13 inch baking dish. In a small separate bowl mix together the sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.

Apple Cobbler Crumble

The crumble topping is the best part right? Here are the apple cobbler crumble ingredients you’ll need:

cinnamon flour sugar eggs baking powder salt butter

And here’s how you make it. Combine the remaining cinnamon, the sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix until you get coarse crumbs. Spread this mixture over the apples evenly. Melt the 2/3 cup of butter and pour it over the entire dish. Put it in the oven at 350 degrees and bake for 50-60 minutes until its lightly browned on top and apples are tender. Serve this baby warm. I like it right out of the oven with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. I actually like it cold too. Or warm temperature. Basically I could eat this dessert anytime, anywhere, and at any temperature.

How to Store

STORE. Cover and store in the fridge for 3-4 days. REHEAT. Put chilled cobblers in the oven and bake at 375 for about 25 minutes or so. You guys – this really is the BEST Apple Cobbler recipe. Go give it a try and let us know what you think because we have a feeling you’ll agree with us. 😉
