Quick + Easy Sausage Balls
We are HERE for appetizers – especially when you can eat them with a toothpick! These sausage balls are a mix between a biscuit and a meatball making them extra delicious and perfect for parties. And we especially love that they are super easy to make and require minimal ingredients, including Bisquick. Plus, these bites are the perfect appetizers to freeze and reheat when ready. They’re a hit at holiday parties and even make perfect finger food for Christmas morning when children are too excited to sit down for breakfast.
Ingredients
PREP TIME: 10 minutes COOK TIME: 20 minutes
1 pound ground pork sausage – or sweet or hot sausage depending on your taste preference 2 cups biscuit baking mix 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated – or mild cheddar cheese, Colby jack, Swiss, Parmesan cheese, Mozzarella, or Pepper Jack 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning – (oregano, basil, rosemary, parsley, thyme, and marjoram). Increase any one of those spices for extra flavor. You can also add smoked paprika, chili powder, or garlic powder. 1-2 tablespoons milk optional sauce – BBQ Sauce, Ranch Dressing, Honey Mustard Sauce, or classic ketchup
