10 ounces shortbread cookies – or use graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or pecan sandies ¼ cup butter, melted – We used unsalted butter but salted butter can be used. 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 cup powdered sugar – sifted 1 (8-ounce) tub whipped cream, about 3 cups – Cool Whip or Homemade Whipped Topping 12-ounce canned blueberry pie filling – or homemade Blueberry Pie filling, or raspberry, cherry, or strawberry pie filling 1 cup chopped pecans optional topping – a dollop of whipped cream, fresh blueberries, lemon zest
