Cut onion lengthwise. Method Heat oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add the other ingredients mentioned under seasoning. When dal turns golden brown, add onions and fry till it turns transparent. Then add chopped chayote, curry powder, salt and cook covered till soft.
