A Favorite Christmas Appetizer

Is it possible to have a Christmas party without a few delicious appetizers?! We think not! Boards are our go-to for holiday parties, and this Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board is a favorite for so many reasons. We love it because:

Feed Many. They feed lots of guests and typically have a variety of foods. Quick + Easy. Most Charcuterie Boards are very simple to assemble and can be made in no time, making them perfect for busy holidays like Christmas. Can be Made Ahead. Anything that can be prepped in advance is a favorite in our books. Easy to Customize. Just all of your favorite veggies, crackers and snacks.

Pair it with some of our favorite homemade dips, like Hummus, Homemade Ranch dressing, or Dill Vegetable Dip and you’re set!

Ingredients

Meats – salami, prosciutto, pepperoni and thinly sliced ham work well. Fruits – dried apricots, cherries, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, grapes, Vegetables – snap peas, pickles, cucumbers, carrots, and red and green bell peppers are all great choices. Cheeses – Mozzarella balls, Colby jack cheese cubes, and spicy pepper jack cheese are some of our favorites. Nuts – peanuts, cashews, walnuts, and flavored almonds.

Variations

We used pesto for the dip on our tray, but the possibilities are endless. Hummus, Homemade Ranch dressing, Dill Vegetable Dip, flavored mustard, and jam are all great choices. Pretzel sticks or crackers can be used instead of hard breadsticks for the trunk of the tree. There are so many choices for ingredients that you can add to your Christmas charcuterie board.

Storage

MAKE AHEAD. Make your board in advance and tore perishable items in the fridge until you are ready to serve them. STORE. Leftovers can be stored separately with perishable items refrigerated as needed.
