My family, including my picky eaters, loves it. And since it’s so smooth, you can add it to EVERYTHING. This Easy Avocado Sauce (a.k.a Venezuelan Guasacaca) is so incredibly easy, you’ll whip it up in no time. You can use it as a dip, spread, or dressing. This amazing avocado sauce enhances everything it touches.

Avocados: You need ripe avocados to make avocado sauce. The small avocados (Hass) are the best tasting, in my opinion. Onion Green pepper Garlic Fresh lime juice: You can also use lemon. Oil: I recommended using a light-tasting oil to make this easy avocado sauce. Vegetable, corn, canola, or avocado oil will work great; olive oil not so much because its taste overpowers the avocado taste. Salt: I prefer kosher or sea salt. If you only have table salt handy, I recommend reducing the amount to half. Black pepper Fresh cilantro: Don’t skip it! Cilantro is a key ingredient for the classic guasacaca flavor.

Oil. Please use a light-tasting oil to make this easy avocado sauce. Vegetable, corn, canola, or avocado oil will work great; olive oil not so much because its taste overpowers the avocado taste. Customize to your taste. After you process all the ingredients to smooth, taste, and adjust seasoning as necessary, add more salt or lime. If you like the heat, you can substitute the green bell pepper for a jalapeño. Salt. I recommend adding just one teaspoon of salt at the beginning and then adjusting if necessary. Lime juice should be fresh.

What’s The Best Way To Keep Avocado Sauce From Browning?

Many people add an avocado pit into the sauce/guacamole, others cover it with plastic wrap, or add a little bit of olive oil on top. According to my experience, all of these hacks help a little, but in the end, the sauce will oxidize anyway. So, try them all to see what works best for you.  EXTRA TIP: To make your avocado sauce last longer, serve it with a wooden or plastic spoon, no steel/metal spoons in your Avocado Sauce.  This help to slow down the oxidation.
