It wouldn’t be hard to turn our Homemade Lemonade into a frozen version using the steps in this frozen strawberry lemonade. It’s the perfect summertime drink!

A Summertime Staple

Sometimes there is nothing better than a cold drink in the summer season. One of our favorite summertime recipes is Strawberry Lemonade, but we recently tried a frozen strawberry lemonade that is now a weekly treat. In fact, we love this slushie lemonade so much that we often have it for a dessert or even a whole meal because we’re so hot it’s all we crave. Between this lemonade and our Watermelon Juice, we have found our go-to summer drinks. As with most of the recipes here on the site, this can be modified however you like. You can add more or less of the ingredients you enjoy most or can change things up by using a limeade concentrate or even a pink lemonade concentrate. Totally up to you!

How to Make Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

This frozen strawberry lemonade recipe comes together in minutes because all you have to do is put the ingredients in the blender and blend! BLEND. Place ice cubes, water, and lemonade concentrate into the blender. Blend until ice is finely blended. Add strawberries and pineapple juice and puree until well blended. Taste and adjust flavors as desired.

Store Leftovers

STORE. Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for a couple of days. Although it turns into more of a punch than a frozen slush, it’s still delicious. You can also pour leftovers into a mold and make popsicles. The kids LOVE them!

Recipe Tips

Change up the fruit, or make this recipe as is, either way, be sure to have some fun with it and enjoy this summer favorite! Frozen berries. Frozen berries may be used instead of fresh. They are usually not quite as sweet as fresh berries so you may need to adjust the amount of sugar or add honey or maple syrup to sweeten. Also, you’ll want to thaw the berries first so they incorporate better with the other ingredients. Change up the fruit. Use an equal amount of other berries instead of strawberries. Raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries are all delicious. Berry prep. Hulling is just a fancy way to say remove the stem. Do not simply cut across the top of the strawberry because you end up wasting some of the berry. You can buy a fancy tool made for hulling, or use a paring knife. Insert the point of the knife next to the stem and cut around the stem in a cone shape. Garnishes. If this incredible frozen strawberry lemonade isn’t amazing enough you can add some garnishes to really make it the best summer drink around.

I like to use clear glasses so you can drink the delicious red color with your eyes as well as your mouth, but any cup will do. Add a sugared rim: Dip the top of each glass into some lemon juice, then into white sugar. Let it dry. Slice some lemons and place the lemon wedges on the rim of the glass. Add a drink umbrella and use festive straws.
