Garlic noodles is a filling Asian dish all on it’s own, or you can pair it with a few side dishes, like crispy Cream Cheese Wontons and Asian Ramen Salad.

Asian Garlic Noodles

It’s no secret I LOVE Asian food! The flavors, the smells – all of it. I’m always looking to add new dinner recipes to the mix, and I have great one for you! Garlic Noodles starts with a simple sauce that is FULL of flavor! It’s easy to whip up and the spice level is completely adjustable.  All you really need to do is whip up the sauce, cook the pasta, and stir it all together! I top mine with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese (may not be authentic, but it’s yummy), and a few diced green onions.  Whether you enjoy it as the main dish or a side dish, it’s a super quick and easy recipe and is sure to be a crowd pleaser with the whole family.

How to Make Garlic Noodles

SAUCE. Make sauce by combining soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Set aside. PASTA. Boil spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Drain water. MIX. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 1 minutes. Add secret sauce and mix. Lastly, add noodles and toss to coat. SEASON + SERVE. Sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and green onions and serve immediately.

Variations

Add your favorite protein, such as shrimp, grilled chicken, beef, or tofu directly to the noodles. You can also serve the noodles as a side to a protein main dish. Some favorites include:

Add sauteed veggies: You can make this dish even more flavorful and hearty by adding some sauteed veggies. Heat a little oil in a pan and add the veggies to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Some vegetables that you may wish to use include:

MushroomsBell PeppersZucchinisCarrots

Can you use different pastas? If you don’t have spaghetti noodles, you can use any similarly shaped pasta such as bucatini, linguine, fettuccine, or angel hair. You can also use ramen noodles. How to store? Store leftover pasta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.  How to reheat? Reheat in the microwave or on the stove top. Since the pasta will continue to absorb some moisture you can add a bit of melted butter to help revive it.
