Have you tried pumpkin butter before? It’s pretty much a fall must-have in our house! I love every flavor in this pumpkin butter. It has all of the classic tastes of fall in one delicious spread. This butter is great for spreading on toast, bagels, pancakes, waffles, french toast, and more! Or just eat it by the spoon- we won’t judge!! If you’re a pumpkin lover like me, you’re guaranteed to love this recipe. It’s really simple to whip up for the autumn season and keep in your fridge for all of your pumpkin butter needs. Or, you can make a big batch of it and gift it to friends, family, or neighbors. They will love you for it!

How to make Pumpkin Butter

Gather all of your ingredients:

pumpkin puree apple juice ground ginger ground cloves sugar cinnamon nutmeg

In a large saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, apple juice, sugar and spices. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Use a wire whisk and stir it constantly. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 30 more minutes. Make sure to stir frequently. If you want a smoother texture, place the butter in a blender. after it’s cooked and cooled a bit. Store in a clean airtight container and keep it in the fridge. It will last in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. If you want more long term storage, you can seal it tightly and keep it in the freezer for 6-12 months. I recommend a plastic storage container since glass can break at extreme temperatures.
