Many of you might be bored with the regular sundal recipe.Try this for a change, which I have prepared using vegetable curry podi. Ingredients needed Karamani /Cow peas -1 cup Podi/Spice powder Bengal gram /kadalai paruppu -1 tbspUrad dal -1 tbspRed chilli -3-4 For the seasoning Mustard – 1 tspUrad dal -3/4 tspHing – a pinchRed ChilliCurry leaves -few Preparation Soak black eyed peas overnight or for 6 hours. Wash and pressure cook till soft, adding salt and just needed water. Drain excess water. Heat 1/2 tsp of oil and fry bengal gram, urad dal and red chilli till dal changes color. Dry grind it or powder it and keep it aside. Method (just 2 steps)
- Heat a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add hing, urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
- Then add the cooked karamani , grounded powder and cook for a few seconds. Karamani sundal is ready to be served.
