How to prepare Kosumalli/ salad  Prep time – under 15 mins Serves – 2 Ingredients needed Moong dal/split yellow variety/pasiparuppu – 1/2 cup Grated or finely chopped cucumber – 1/2 cup Grated coconut – 1/4 cup Fresh Lemon juice to taste Salt as needed For the seasoning  Oil – 1 tsp Mustard seeds -3/4 tsp Green chillies – 2 slit Hing – a pinch Curry leaves -few Preparation  Wash and soak moong dal for 1/2 an hour. Drain the water and keep it aside. Grate cucumber, add salt to it and keep it aside for 15 minutes. Grate coconut.(fresh coconut preferable) Method  Heat a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add hing, green chillies and curry leaves.
