I love a good Charcuterie Board, and so do my kids!! This Movie Night Charcuterie Board is a new, fun favorite along with our popular After School Snack Board. An appetizer board would also be delightful!

Movie Night musts

We LOVE family movie night. We typically gather and watch a movie together once a week, usually on Sunday. Snacks and treats are a movie night must! While we love to make homemade popcorn, it’s fun to have a variety of munchies. Some of those munchies are great for mixing into popcorn! The kids love our Movie Night Charcuterie Board. It’s customizable and can include a good mix of our favorites. You can include your favorite candy and fruit, or even bake up some brownies and cookies to include.

How to make a movie night charcuterie board

BOWLS. To make the board, first place your bowls or small containers, spaced apart. Then build around the containers with items. Bowls are helpful for dips or spreads but can hold any item you wish. FILL IT IN. Next, begin to add items to the board in groupings. Keep in mind color to spread the color around. You can make the board any way you like! Just have fun! You can also throw in some of our favorite homemade mixes:

Puppy Chow White Chocolate M&M Popcorn Homemade Chex Mix Sweet Chex Mix

Favorite movie snacks

You can fill our board with any of your favorite treats, candies, and snacks, but here are a few of our personal favorites to get you started. Candy. M&M, Skittles, Twizzles, Lifesaver Gummies, chocolate candies, caramels, Airheads, Hershey Kisses, Mike and Ikes, Reeses Cups, and Junior Mints Grains. Popcorn (or Homemade Kettle Corn, Churro Popcorn or Caramel Popcorn), pretzels, crackers, goldfish, mini Oreos, animal crackers, and Teddy Grahams Healthy items. grapes, olives, blueberries, halved strawberries, raspberries, mozzarella or cheddar cheese sticks, trail mix, lightly buttered popcorn, and nuts

A few tips

Crunch. No one wants their movie interrupted because the person next to them is eating something loud and crunchy. Unfortunately, or fortunately, this eliminates most raw veggies. Keep the room clean. Because of Murphy’s law, you’ll also want to avoid providing anything that is gooey or drippy. If it can make a mess, it will make a mess. Serving suggestion. To avoid different hands reaching out every 5 seconds for a yummy treat, provide individual plates or small bowls for people to fill up and hold in their laps. They can quietly refill every so often.
