Ingredients
PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 7 minutes
COOL TIME: 8 minutes
8 ounces cream cheese, softened – Place at room temperature for 30-60 minutes so it will be soft enough to whip 1 cup whipped topping – store-bought Cool-whip or homemade Whipped Cream 1 cup powdered sugar – sifted to remove any lumps 4 tablespoons salted butter – salted butter helps add contrast to the sweetness of the dip. ½ cup brown sugar – I use light brown sugar, but dark brown sugar can also be used ½ cup light corn syrup 1 cup chopped pecans – You can buy whole pecans and chop them dash of salt 2 teaspoons vanilla extract apple slices, pretzel crisps, graham crackers and/or stroopwafels for serving
