We Love a Tasty Twist!
Italian food is always a go-to in our house – especially pasta dishes! We eat pasta for dinner at least once a week. It’s fun to change things up and try new twists. That’s how this spaghetti pie was created! The spaghetti crust is layered with a ricotta filling, meat sauce, and melty cheese for an easy pasta recipe my kids LOVE!
Ingredients
PREP TIME: 20 minutesCOOK TIME: 20 minutes
6 ounces spaghetti – or use angel hair, bucatini, linguini. Cook the pasta al dente as they will continue to cook as the pie is baked in the oven. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 eggs ½ cup parmesan cheese – grated parmesan works best 1 cup ricotta cheese – or cottage cheese 1 teaspoon dried parsley ½ teaspoon oregano ½ teaspoon dried basil ½ pound ground beef – or use ground chicken or turkey ½ pound mild Italian sausage – or use sweet or hot sausage 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes 2 cups marinara sauce – store-bought or homemade Marinara Sauce 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
