What is Papitas de Leche?
Papitas de Leche are a traditional Venezuelan sweet. They really are like milk truffles, made with powdered milk, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. They’re originally from the Venezuelan Andean region. They are little pieces of heaven, and to make things even better; they’re super easy to make – you only need 3 ingredients. Perfect for sharing with friends or gifting.

Dry whole milk — if you can’t find it in stores, it is online as well.Confectioners sugarSweetened Condensed Milk Cloves — optional but recommended!
HOW TO MAKE PAPITAS DE LECHE

1 – MIX THE DRY INGREDIENTS
Mix dry milk and confectioners sugar in a medium bowl, until combined.
2 — ADD THE CONDENSED MILK
Add sweetened condensed milk and stir with a spatula until smooth and firm. You may need to knead by hand to achieve a smooth texture.
3 — FORM THE TRUFFLES
Using your hands, roll into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add a clove in the center of each papita de leche, if desired, and enjoy.
Storing
Store the milk truffles in a sealed container for up to 7 days. You can also store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Bring a room temperature before serving.
